Dr. Wolfgang Wüster

Dr. Wolfgang Wüster, PhD, is a herpetologist and professor in zoology at Bangor University, UK. Wüster attained his bachelor's degree at the University of Cambridge in 1985 and his doctorate at University of Aberdeen in 1990. His research encompasses a broad range of topics in snake biology, with particular emphasis on the ecological and evolutionary role of venom at the interface between snakes and their environment, the systematics, ecology and conservation of venomous snakes, and the use of genomic approaches to these problems. His research has resulted in around 200 peer-reviewed publications, and taken him into the field on all continents.
